Self Development

The Self can be described in terms of Values, personality, strengths, limitations, hobbies/interests, and sense of Purpose.  It can also be described in terms of our conscious or subconscious Self.  There’s the Self we show to the world as well as the Self we keep to ourselves or only share with close Loved ones; all the different ‘masks’ we wear depending on the setting.  It can further be described in terms of the Physical, Mental, Social, and Spiritual Self.  We can then define optimal HEALTH as a state of optimized physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being which will of course look different for each individual.

Development of the Self in promotion of Wellness, can then be structured along the lines of seeking some aspect(s) of physical, mental, social or spiritual health. What are your thoughts on the Self and how to develop it??
